First Easter Egg Hunt

Eva, Mamie and Mommy ventured out last weekend for the first annual Easter egg hunt! It was a beautiful day and Eva enjoyed herself immensely. Mamie made her the little bag she's carrying to put her eggs in. Unfortunately, although not surprisingly, Mommy was late getting her there and we missed the 10:00 am whistle for the 0-3 year old hunt. Poor little Eva didn't have a chance...the rest of the tykes snatched up all of the eggs before we even got there! But that didn't stop our girl....after giving them all a piece of her mind (top picture) we hustled over to the back of the 4-6 year old's hunting ground before the whistle blew and made our move. Those silly little fools never saw us coming! Eva's favorite part was actually teasing all the kids while we waited in line to collect her prizes (note little boy with white bunny bag in second picture). Much to their relief, we then headed off for the obligatory Easter Bunny picture. We weren't sure how she'd react after her Santa picture fiasco but she LOVED the Easter Bunny! She was very fascinated with his teeth...go figure.
Can’t wait for next year!

Eva also wants to send a BIG thank you to everyone for all of her birthday presents and well wishes! She had a great time playing with all of her presents and was the cutest little leprechaun in all of Texas!

11 months and counting...

I can't believe she's almost 1 year old...she's growing up too fast! I know it's been a while since our last post so I'll try to catch up. She can say hi, dada, mama (but on her own terms, never when you ask her to), wave bye-bye and point at the birdies. She also now has 1.5 teeth and eats like a champ! She's even developed a palate for ice cream like her Daddy! Some of her other favorites include mashed potatoes, guacamole and ...sand, as we discovered last week while in Hawaii. She hasn't started walking yet but we won't be surprised if it happens any day now. In the interim, she's adept at 'cruising' through the house holding onto furniture. Most of all, Eva LOVES to tease the dogs by taking their favorite toys and taunting them by not giving it back! I think she got the teasing gene from Grandpa Lewis! ;)
